I think it's the end....crap

Tue Jul 29, 2008, 8:00 PM
Holy moses, what am I going to do? I think I've beomce to literal, and not in the book sense. I have so many things trapped in my head in the way of creations and ideas and art and I think their stuck here forever, or atleat a very very long time. And you know why? Because Im being practical. Because my art, unless practially used, seems like a waste of resources. ISNT THAT STUPID!? I've spent so long worrying about the money, and the time, and the use of my talents that I've forgotten how to let go, how to take that spark or a moment....and...you know what...Im going to make this art...this right here...I'll make it lyrical, and meaningful, and even no one ever reads it, maybe, I'll get the spark back.

Bwahaha!!! *Lighting crashes and somehwere goopy liquids bubble mencingly in a dark, dank laboratory*

While in my home "Scrubs plays in the background and there is the faint smell of dipers wafting in the air....gotta change the diper genie....
So it's been over a year but here we are again. My daughter is now 9 months and starting to go off and play her own little games which gives me a little bit of freedom to re-persue my art work. Just a little bit of freedom mind you, so deviations will be very few and probably far between. But YAY!! ART!!!

The Challenge

Thu Aug 3, 2006, 8:10 PM
So I've been wanting to do some art, but havent known what to do, at the same time, I think I havent had the chance to show what I can do. I've always done better with requests, so when I saw this challenge I had to grab it up for 2 reasons. THe challenge is...

"The first ten people to comment on this journal will get a free request of
their choice! The only catch is that they then have to post the same tag on
their own journal, and create art for the first 10 people to comment as well."

The reasons are...
1. Im really hoping the person i got this from (Freaky Babe) can do something with my stock as my request.
2. I love doing art for other people, and would love th chance to try. I do photography, photo manipulation, and lots of hands on stuff, but that would take alot longer to do should anyone request it.

So let the mayhem begin!!!

Mood: Nauseated Ways of the World

I wonder how much longer I am willing to stay on Deviant Art, when I have to worry that my own art may be getting ripped off. Ok, maybe my own art wouldnt be popular in the copying and corrupting feild, but there are enough people out there that one wayward student or commision hungered fool might try. And there's always the chance that they'll find the one art critic that finds it amazing and makes them a world famous one time star that they will make atleast a few million off of the copies of it that I might one day see being sold on a postcard and then have to begin a painful process of law attacks and personal revenge...by hoping for bad karma. Or maybe this is all my imagination. Possibilities, people.

Besides, there are plenty out there that are trying to make a living with their art, or atleast a few extra bucks, and I've found more and more matching journal entries in the profiles of the talented complaining on how they discovered the crimes of those who seem to lack their own talent. So they protect their work with copyright logos, adding an extra edge to their work that sometines takes away from the original. Or perhaps we should get Deviant Art itself to set up better protection besides it's policies. Such as adding a trasparent gif over anything submitted. Problems still arise though; it makes the site more complicated to handle, longer to process submissions for slower computers, and the fact that there are still ways to get your own work ripped off. What to do now? Leave it up to trust I guess. And make BIG ugly copyright logos and watermarks.

Boo people. Cant we all be overly protective of our own art work and just smack the people that take them without permission? And all just get along?
